Marine Insurance at the turn of the Millenium |
|
Marine Insurance at the turn of the Millenium (Volume 1 and 2) is the compilation of the work on the area of marine insurance by various distinguished academics on the area such as Yvonne Baatz (Director of the Institute of Maritime Law, University of Southampton), Professor Sturley (University of Texas at Austin), Professor John Hare at the Shipping Law Unit, Faculty of Law, University of Cape Town in South Africa. The book presents a wide range of emerging topics in the area of marine insurance law from theoretical issues to practical issues. Additionally, this book presents the law of several countries so it is very useful for the persons who want to study marine insurance law by using the comparative approach. In hindsight, it can be said that some articles in this book tend to be quite short. It might be better if they are written in the more extensive style. However, this is not the serious weakness since all of the issues in this book are still opened for everyone to do more research on them. In conclusion, this book is worth buying and it should also be kept in major law libraries as it will be useful for referencing purpose in the future.
